🍁 Fall Camporee – Range & Target Adventure

• November 14-16, 2025

• The Mattaponi District invites you to an action-packed weekend of camping, competitions, and adventure! Please complete this survey to help our Troop plan participation and logistics.  

  • Scouts will test their skills in exciting patrol competitions, including: Archery, Tomahawk & Knife Throwing, Rifle & Shotgun Shooting, Slingshots, and Scout Trivia. Patrols will rotate through each station, with scores added together for overall unit rankings and bragging rights.

🚢 Nauticus & USS Wisconsin Overnight Adventure

• This overnight trip will be on 12/6-7 and will include a visit to Nauticus, tour of the USS Wisconsin, Winterfest and breakfast on 12/7. We will get to sleep on the USS Wisconsin.

• Cost: $49 per Scout

• This exciting overnight experience includes:

  • Admission to Nauticus

  • Guided tour of the historic USS Wisconsin

  • Entry to Winterfest—featuring lights and Christmas decorations aboard the ship

• Overnight stay on the USS Wisconsin

• Breakfast the next morning

• Scouts should bring money for dinner on December 6th and for any optional purchases on the way home from Norfolk.

🇺🇸 2026 National Jamboree - Registration

• July 22-31, 2026, Summit Bechtel Scout Reservation, New Hope, West Virginia

• Jamboree is more than a destination. It’s the adventure of lifetime. There is simply nothing else like it on the planet.

• What’s a Jamboree? It’s not camp. National Jamboree is 360-degrees of fun, friends and fellowship with hands-on adventure that takes you places you never thought you’d go and challenge you to try things you never thought you could.

• It’s the beginning of your own heroes’ journey that will challenge you to go farther than you ever thought possible. You’ll reach deeper and lift yourself higher to become the best version of yourself.

• PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

  • Deposit:  $300, Due March 31, 2025

  • $100 of the deposit is non-refundable.

  • Payment1 $500, Due May 15, 2025

  • Payment 2 $500, Due August 14, 2025

  • Payment 3 $500, Due November 30, 2025

  • Final Payment $650, Due March 1, 2026

• All cancelations must be done by 10/01/2025, after that point refunds are only available for 85% of the NCAC fees. 

• NOTE: This is a council event not a Troop 847 event. All payments, forms, etc. are submitted and processed by council.

💲Troop Dues

• Troop dues are $25 per Scout and must be paid by March 15.

• Payments can be made on Cheddar Up or in person at the next meeting.

• Key Updates

  • Dues

    • Parents will pay the recharter fees for Scouts (Scouting America $85 and Council $80) individually online when notified by my.scouting.org website. Families will pay the Troop Unit Fee ($25) separately. Click here for directions!

    • Registered Adult Fee ($65) will be reimbursed if they serve as an active leader for at least 3 events per year (Campouts, Weekend Events, Etc.)
