🧗🏻♂️ 2025 Climboree Registration
We are eager to share some exciting information about the 2025 Climboree at Camp Mountaineer in Morgantown, WV, scheduled for October 10-13, 2025. Here you will find the event flier and activity catalog, which includes details about all the exciting activities the weekend has to offer.
As many of you know, we tried to attend this event in 2024, but unfortunately, it sold out too quickly, and we were unable to secure a spot. This year, registration opens on April 26, and we want to ensure that we have a chance to participate.
Scouts must RSVP and pay the initial $30 fee on or before April 23rd. No registrations will be accepted after this time.
This fee is nonrefundable. Please note this is ONLY the registration fee. There will be additional costs for food, transportation, etc. as the event gets closer. Please RSVP in Scoutbook and you can make payment using CheddarUp, or if you wish to pay by cash, check, or Scout account, please confirm with Jen Surles (troop847treasurer@gmail.com) prior to April 23rd.
Here’s a quick overview of what the weekend will include:
Climbing on natural rock and a 60-foot tower
Bouldering on gritstone walls
Guided challenge course sessions
Big Zip quarter-mile zipline
Rifle, shotgun, and archery ranges
All-day, hands-on Dutch oven cooking classes
☀️ Summer Camp @ Camp Powhatan

Camp Powhatan has a traditional Merit Badge program for all ages, also offering the Brownsea Island program for first-year scouts and the Eagle's Nest Eagle-focused program for older Scouts. Powhatan offers a full schedule of evening activities and adventure opportunities, and features exciting program areas including Nature, Handicraft, Scoutcraft, Shooting Sports, and Aquatics.
Please RSVP in Scoutbook at your earliest convenience. We will need adult leaders too.

It’s the beginning of your own heroes’ journey that will challenge you to go farther than you ever thought possible. You’ll reach deeper and lift yourself higher to become the best version of yourself.
